Jamboard
1. What is Jamboard?
With the Google Jamboard app you can work in the internet browser or via the mobile app for iOS or Android on a tablet or smartphone. With the pen, highlighter or brush, ideas can be shaped by drawing or writing. You can choose from a number of different colors to elaborate the image as well as possible. Or when several people work together in the same Jam, everyone can choose their own color and it remains clear who added what. With the handy post-its, the Jam can be typed and clearly completed. With the post-its you can make clear slides containing, for example, the pros and cons of certain things. Or you make an idea pasteboard, a plan of action or together with colleagues or partners you hold a brainstorm with each other.
With Jamboard you can:
- Add sticky notes, drawings, images, text and more.
- Search Google and insert images or webpages.
- Move images, texts, notes and drawings around on the screen easily.
- Drag and resize text and images with your fingers.
- Share your “jams” with others and let them collaborate.
2. How can Jamboard make learning more personalized?
Teachers can involve all students in the learning process, whether they work together in a traditional classroom, in a group seminar or through distance learning. The Jamboard app for Android and iOS makes it easy for students and teachers to join creative sessions via their phone, tablet or Chromebook. Jamboard makes learning visible and accessible to everyone participating in the jam session. Plus, you can easily present your jam in real time via Meet, for sharing or making connections in the real world easy. Brainstorming, alone or with colleagues. With Google Jamboard, in the browser or via the app, you get the best out of your way of working.
3. What to consider when implementing Jamboard?
When it comes to collaborative tools, nothing beats Google Jamboard. This user-friendly system replicates a traditional meeting whiteboard, allowing participants to share ideas and brainstorm together. The app is simple and streamlined in its design, making it easy for users to navigate and (dare we say it) even fun for working or learning remotely. If your group is large, Jamboard has you covered: it can accommodate up to 50 people working on a jam at once! Whether you are using it to teach remotely, meet with a committee, or even map out the annual family holiday scavenger hunt rules, Jamboard is a collaborator’s dream. The ability to use a whiteboard with others in real-time – even if you are 500 miles away from each other – is something you will wonder how you lived without once you start meeting or teaching with it.
